🌟A note from our Exercise Physiologist Bridget🌟
Gyms may have temporarily closed their doors, however you shouldn’t close the door on achieving your goals. It is important to continue and modify the way we exercise for both physical and mental health. In these uncertain times, exercise is one of the best ways to keep a positive outlook and to look after our mental health. Here are a few tips for management of exercise while we spend a lot more time in the confines of our own home.
- Monitor and achieve daily step count and overall movement goals
- Physical breaks every 20 minutes to stretch, exercise or walk
- Ensure healthy dieting and
- Focus on training multiple muscle groups at once for greater overall energy expenditure
- Aerobic exercise is the best form of exercise for our mental health so try and go for a 30 minute walk most days
- Most importantly, enjoy and have fun with your exercise
Bridget is available for appointments at #physioactive so if you are keen to get some advice regarding home exercise or targeted and individualised exercise programming, give us a call or book online
